Lite Wallet v3.16.0 — what's in this release
Every platform on the same version. MWEB confidential transactions everywhere. LitVM support for smart contracts and tokens on Litecoin. Ledger and Trezor across all desktop platforms.
Lite Wallet v3.16.0 is the current release, dated 2026-04-20. It ships on Windows (.exe installer), macOS (.dmg), Linux (.zip), iOS (App Store), and Android (Google Play) — every platform on the same version, the same day. This release includes MWEB confidential transactions on every platform (previously fragmented coverage), LitVM smart contract support for tokens and DeFi applications on Litecoin, Ledger and Trezor hardware wallet integration across all desktop platforms, and a refreshed UI across mobile and desktop clients. Full release notes, signed binaries, and Code signing are available on /security and /changelog.
MWEB everywhere
Confidential transactions on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. Same feature, every platform, v3.16.0.
LitVM support
Send, receive, and hold LTC-20 tokens and other LitVM-based assets with standard Litecoin in one wallet.
Hardware wallet integration
Ledger and Trezor first-class desktop flows. Sign transactions on-device. Watch-only pairings supported.
Refreshed UI
New design system across mobile and desktop. Clearer hierarchy, accessible contrast, dark mode by default.
Faster sync
SPV improvements reduce initial sync time. Optional Tor routing (Settings → Privacy) unchanged in principle, faster in practice.
CSV transaction export
Export full transaction history including MWEB-peg events as CSV for tax reporting and record-keeping.
MWEB on every platform
MWEB (Mimblewimble Extension Block) activated on Litecoin in 2022, adding opt-in confidential transactions to the protocol. Wallet support has historically been uneven — some wallets implemented MWEB on desktop but not mobile, or on iOS but not Android. With v3.16.0, Lite Wallet ships MWEB on all five platforms from day one: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. Same peg-in and peg-out flow. Same confidentiality guarantees. Same UX.
LitVM support
LitVM is Litecoin's smart contract execution layer, enabling tokens (LTC-20), DeFi applications, and contract-based logic directly on Litecoin. v3.16.0 includes native LitVM support: you see token balances alongside LTC, sign LitVM transactions with the same 12-word paper key, and pay gas in LTC. No separate wallet required. See the LitVM guide for the full technical breakdown.
Ledger and Trezor
Hardware wallet integration is first-class in v3.16.0. On Windows, macOS, and Linux, connect your Ledger (Nano S Plus, Nano X, Stax) or Trezor (Model One, Model T, Safe) and pair with LiteWallet. Sign every transaction on the hardware device — the two-screen verification model where the device shows true transaction details. Your 12-word paper key never touches the computer. Watch-only pairings (xpub import) work for all hardware wallet types, enabling cold-storage balance monitoring without exposing signing keys.
Verify your download
Every v3.16.0 binary is code-signed by the Lite Wallet organization. Verify the publisher signature on the installer before running it — it should read 'Lite Wallet'.
