Create a Litecoin wallet in under 5 minutes
No account, no email, no ID. Install the app, write down 12 words, and you have a fully self-custodial Litecoin wallet ready to receive funds.
We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key
Not by email, DM, support chat, pop-up, or any website. Anyone who asks is attempting to steal your funds. The 12-word paper key this walkthrough generates is entered only inside Lite Wallet, on the device that created it.
5-minute walkthrough
The same flow on every platform — desktop or mobile.
Download Lite Wallet
Get the installer or app for your platform — Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android.
Choose 'Create new wallet'
On first launch, pick the create-new path rather than restore-existing.
Write down your 12-word paper key
Lite Wallet generates the words on your device. Write them on paper, in order, and confirm them when asked. This is the only backup of your wallet — nobody else has a copy.
Set a device passcode
Choose a local passcode or turn on biometric unlock. This is separate from the paper key and protects the app on this specific device.
Receive your first LTC
Open the receive screen for your address or QR code and share it with whoever is sending you Litecoin, or buy some from an exchange and withdraw to that address.
Pick your platform
The same wallet, the same paper key format, and the same feature set works across every supported platform — you're not locked into the device you start on. See the setup notes for iPhone, Mac, or the general download page for Windows, Linux, and Android.
