Overview

Lite Wallet for Mac is distributed as an Apple-signed .dmg — no Gatekeeper workarounds needed. It carries the complete desktop feature set: MWEB privacy on the same implementation as every other platform, native LitVM and LTC-20 support, and — unlike the current iOS and Android builds — direct Ledger and Trezor hardware wallet pairing with on-device signing for standard Litecoin transactions. The hardware wallet flow is built into the main app rather than shipped as a separate edition.

Requirements

macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later, on Apple Silicon (M1 and newer) or Intel. 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB recommended for comfortable multitasking during initial sync. The .dmg download is approximately 92 MB; about 500 MB of disk space after install.

Setup on Mac

A few minutes, most of it the initial blockchain sync.

Download the disk image
Get LiteWallet-v3.16.0.dmg from the download page.
Mount and install
Open the .dmg and drag Lite Wallet into Applications.
Launch Lite Wallet
Open it from Applications or Spotlight. First launch may prompt a standard Gatekeeper confirmation since it's a signed, non-App-Store binary.
Create or restore your wallet
Choose 'Create new wallet' for a fresh 12-word paper key, or 'Restore existing wallet' if you're moving from another platform.
Connect a hardware wallet (optional)
Plug in a Ledger or Trezor and follow the on-screen pairing flow to enable on-device signing for standard transactions.
